GEORGE WESTON

King Charles stands accused of having links to slavery, such as Charles II the Second, and the Africa Trading company.

Presiding over, but not necessarily altogether happy with the way his Kingdom is going.

George Weston is Briony's grandfather, a master mason and prominent Cabinet member of Wealden District Council. In the lead up to inviting Victor to parties at his house, and the house occupied by Shannon. Councillor Weston helped Victor to clear an adverse planning history, on his workshop. Then, Councillor Weston agreed to give testimony in the County Court, where Wealden was chasing Victor for costs, to bankrupt him, and Victor was counterclaiming. Victor was introduced to George's family very gradually, at George's house. When, Shannon would frequently drop in and chat about Victor's case. Two parties later, Victor was engaged to Shannon.

George had done a deal with Wealden, and the Leader of the Council, designed to force Victor to move in with his daughter. George promised Wealden that he was control Victor, disarm him and keep him off Wealden's back, so that corrupt planning officers, and especially, Derek Holness, and other high ranking retirees, would be safe, as to their golden handshakes. And it worked for a time. But, his daughter's demands of Victor, became intolerable. Victor became a full time maintenance man, and go-for, and was forced to deal with George's issues, party wall and Motor Home contract disputes.

In this story based on real life events, Briony Weston-Smyth threatens Victor Von Woolfe, that if he does not return to her family, herself and her mother, Shannon, will: "get him." Without saying how that might be, Victor does not take Shannon seriously. But, unknown to Victor she has been hatching a plan with her daughter, ever since Briony, at school, was told that she does not need proof to get Victor imprisoned, simply a convincing story, and he will go down.

She did not know when first making noises to her friends at school, that they, and her teachers, might take her stories seriously enough, to eventually give the police what they want to be able to arrest Victor.

Shannon left a number of notes in her office for the police to find, but hid her professional diaries in her loft.

In reality, the police and local authorities had been gunning for the planning campaigner, for some time, and just needed a good enough reason to bury him. And, this was it. With the help of social services at East Sussex, the police would craft a case, that would at the very least cause significant harm to Victor. Briony's mother and grandmother worked for social services. They knew exactly how to work the system to cause as much anguish to Victor. And, Briony would have the perfect excuse as to why Victor called off the engagement to her mother.

Briony's mother, Shannon, was a psychiatric nurse and a fraudster, having failed to declare a second property, and income from a garage. The police granted her immunity from prosecution, in return for her testimony. Julian Dale, had the information about Shannon's fraud, but failed to raise this in cross examination. Shannon and Briony asked Victor to send saucy Valentines Day cards, then kept them, to use against him, by way of blackmail, to stay with their family. This was thus, a premeditated plan, concocted by mother and daughter, with the mother later suffering from remorse, but being forced to testify, by her father, a former grand master mason, who had previously helped Victor fight Ian Kay and Derek Holness council corruption. And her mother, a former social worker, allegedly, who had either worked with, or knew Dr Liebenberg, professionally. So, creating a conflict of interest.

Briony would now be some thirty-three years old, at time of writing.

NOTE: The complainant's name has been changed to protect her identity, in her forward life. As with the names of her immediate family. This was at the request of the victim, who is known as Victor von Woolfe in this docu-drama based on real events. In recognition, that he called off an engagement to the complainant's mother, and perhaps, should not have proposed, to raise expectations.

Where a breakdown in a relationship or a domestic grievance turns into a devastatingly weaponized false allegation—is the nightmare scenario for any defense lawyer, and it lies at the absolute center of debates around reforming sexual offenses law. In this case, Julian Dale and Tim Stirmey, had no stomach for putting up a fight, with very limited legal aid funding to carve up, it appears that instead of challenging the medical evidence, they just took what cash they could, and sold their client down the river. Allegedly. You can make up your mind, as your read and review the evidence for yourselves.

Although pure fiction, Fatal Attraction, The Fugitive, and Double Jeopardy are three films that spring to mind.
